Pay scale Rs5910-20200.
The scale starts from Rs.5910.(Basic)
Every year rate of increment is added and that rate of increment is your grade pay suppose it is 2800 rs and basic grows In a slot of 2800 rs untilone can reach upto the basic level of Rs20200 under this scale later the growth of basic pay stops under the existing scale of pay and not eligible for any further increments under the existing scale.
For computing total salary : The basic pay ,DA and other eligible allowances are added. In between 5910 and 20200 the rate of increment may vary.

Pay Scale is the specific set of information that determines a preconfigured monthly, semi-monthly, or hourly rate of pay. It consists of Pay Scale Area, Pay Scale Group and Level, Pay Scale Type, and Capacity Utilization Level.
Pay Scale would be used if there are steps based on time or other criteria such as can be found in a union agreement. However, it can also be used for salaried employees. Pay Grade would be used if most of the employees were salaried. Pay Grade is also tied to Compa Ratio while Pay Scale is not.
Pay Scale Structure means creation of Payroll area , Pay scale type,area, group and levels with EmpSub group grouping for PCR & CAP's.

1.We use indirect valuation for HRA in wagetype characteristics so that the system calculates 40% r 50% for all employees...but if the client asks to calculate 30% for a particular employee then is there any chance to configure like that? 2.In their company there r 2 employee groups...regular, contract..both groups come under monthly basis but they pay salaries on 2 different dates for the 2 groups...then how many payroll areas we need to create?
