What is the difference between Pay Grade and Pay Scale?

Pay scale Rs5910-20200.
The scale starts from Rs.5910.(Basic)
Every year rate of increment is added and that rate of increment is your grade pay suppose it is 2800 rs and basic grows In a slot of 2800 rs untilone can reach upto the basic level of Rs20200 under this scale later the growth of basic pay stops under the existing scale of pay and not eligible for any further increments under the existing scale.
For computing total salary : The basic pay ,DA and other eligible allowances are added. In between 5910 and 20200 the rate of increment may vary.
