SAP PP is part of the Controlling module thats why the
production execution transactiosn like CO01, CO11N, CO27
etc., begin with CO.

PP is with integrated with MM module as the movement types
like 261 (for backflusing) and 101 (goods receipt) come
from MM.
You cannot separate MM and PP. They are tightly integrated.
Batch management is also integrated.
ATP is integrated.
Handling Unit Management is integrated.
Subcontracting for external manufacturing is integrated
with MM and PP.
PP is also integrated WM (there is a config setting for WM-
PP interface.
Planning run is integrated between MM and PP.

PP is integrated with SD for requirement type, planning
strategies, item categories, ATP, MRP run etc.,
SOP, Demand management, etc., are integrated with SD
When it comes to MTO with variant config it is integrated
with PP and SD.

Though the question looks very small, the answer is very
big and probably takes months for me to explain.

However, the cost of product is calculated from the costing
view of the materials.

We have defined activity types and HR assignment in
workcenters and routings. Each activity type is assigned to
a cost center and whenever the production order is
confirmed the total issue of materials consumed is cost and
the cost of each activity is collected from the respective
cost centers and then finally the product cost comes out.

Once the material is receipt is done to prodution, the
document of mm like material document and accounting
documents will get updated.

Once the finished products are delivered by sales again the
material document and accounting documents gets updated to
know the current financial situation of the company.

pp intergrates with all the modules and basic integration
between mm is master data (material master record).

For SD while delivering the stock, sales order consumes the
stock(va01)

And fico calculates the cost of machine and manpower and all
other cost including material costs.
