MRP Group
The MRP group contains all the materials from the point of view of MRP for assigning special control parameters for the total planning run. These control parameters include, for example, the strategy group, the consumption mode, and the planning horizon.
MRP Area
MRP Area represents a separate organizational area for which you can carryout MRP Separately.
An MRP area can include one or several storage locations of a plant or a subcontractor. You can define MRP areas within a plant.

mrp group contains control parametre like strategy group , planning time fence, planning horrizon and consumption type etc so we create mrp group by using t code oppr , and assign the mrp group to materials for define a control paramete in mrp 1 view in MM
