Training period is also called as "Probation period"
Every fresher needed some kind of traing to perform that particular job.
Development is the continuous process and this process having no end why because without Development the company goes decresing level.............

i think that training is the sort term system of the organization which provide the knowledge and skills according to their job condition.
and development is the broader concept is decided to the company growing

the word training is quiet different from devolopment as
trainig focuses on only current job skills of the employees
but devolopment is , plannen, org wide, long term ,
managemd from the top activity

whereas development is more general in nature specially at
top management level.
Training is less frequent and less expensive.
but Development is more frequent and more expensive.
Training is mostly imparted by superiors
And Development is undertaken by superiors or outside

Training is basically concerned for the current job of the
employee in simple words we can say that if an employee
face some issed for his current jon or he not performing
his job according to requirments then he need training on
the other end development is concerned for future because
we want to promote him in future thats why we providing him
training not for current job but future jobs that is the
