YES U R ALMOST RIGHT? IT IS MORE REQUIRED IN BOM WHEN U
SPECIFY THE DELIVERY OF DIFF MATERIAL AT THE SAME TIME
WHICH COME UNDER A HEADER ITEM. LETS SAY IF U WANT TO
DELIVER THE MONITOR OF PC TODAY , CPU TOMOROW ETC HOW IT
WOULD BE? TO AVOID THAT WE SPECIFY THE DELIVERY GROUP SO

if specific items in a salews order are to be combined into
a single delivery, you can specify delivery group for those
items

materials in a single delivery at one date, like main item
and 3 r 4 subitems

Before creating the delivery or processing the delivery due
list the system only checks the delivery group .The delivery
group indicate that all the sub items should delivered
together.
Always the delivery group should assign to the item category
of the sub items,as a result system will conform the
delivery date according to the latest schedule lines.
It is required for the BOM process .
