It stands for Remote Tap Changing Controller. This is used
to maintain Constant voltage at the secondary side of the
Transformer i.e at the load side by suitably changing the
tap positions at the primary side automatically.
It really is a boon to power industry as the load varies
heavily which is largely inductive so the power factor &
voltage is to be maintained, which is possible using this
RTCC.
It is also known as Automatic Voltage Regulator.

RTCC means "Remote Tap Changer Control Cubicle". as the name
suggests it is used for remote operation. RTCC is used to
raise/lower the tap as and when required ,with the help of
an AVR-automatic voltage regulator, remotely . It also gives
important indications about the transformer such as oil temp
high, winding temp high , bucholz relay trip , coller fans
on/off. It gives a complete information of a transformer.

Rtcc is remote tap changer circuit. It is used to change tap position as per requirement of load. It generally maintains voltage at specific value, if there is any change in voltage rtcc gets it at reqd value. It also involves AVR (automatic voltage controller).

Answer / edwin aguinaldo
RTCC is REMOTE - TAP -CHANGER - CUBICLE and composed of AVR automatic voltage regulator which regulate the incoming supply voltage from the transformer using VT or voltage transformer (voltage ratio). RTCC control the MDU motor drive unit which control the OLTC on line tap changer position giving number of step + or - ,OLTC is connected to multi tap winding of HV side of the transformer.

RTCC means- Remote tap changing controller
And it is used to maintain the stable output voltage of the transformer by
changing the taps because we need constant voltage.

RTCC meaning for ( Remote Tap Changing Control ). This usage for some place maintain constant Voltage, when voltage reduce that time automatic change for Tap in the transformer. we are give to VT voltage secondary as per given to AVR ( Automatic Voltage Regulator ), Relay. AVR give to bead back to tap changer motors.

RTCC means Remote Tap-Changer Control. The function of RTCC
is to maintain the voltage in the transformer via OLTC. If
there's change in the load, like more current inject, hence
the voltage decrease, so RTCC will change the voltage to its
normal operating position by change the tap position. when
the current become stable, it will tap to normal position
like before. the tap itself function as to lower or raise
the voltage so that it can be maintained.

RTCC STANDS FOR REMOTE TAP CHANGING CONTROILLER IT IS USED
TO BALANCED OUTPUT VOLTAGE WHICH THE TRANSFORMER IS RATED
FOR AND IT CAN BE CONTROLLED FROM REMOTE AREA AND THE TAPS
ARE PROVIDED ON H.T. SIDE BECAUSE THE HIGHER VOLTAGE
INDICATES LOWER CURRENT AND THERE WILL BE LESS SPARKING
WHEN THE TAPS ARE CHANGING AND INSULATION REQUIREMENT
CONSIDERABLY CHANGES
