What is RTCC panel and why it is required

RTCC is REMOTE - TAP -CHANGER - CUBICLE and composed of AVR automatic voltage regulator which regulate the incoming supply voltage from the transformer using VT or voltage transformer (voltage ratio). RTCC control the MDU motor drive unit which control the OLTC on line tap changer position giving number of step + or - ,OLTC is connected to multi tap winding of HV side of the transformer.
