AMF actually means " automated mains failure " this term is
normally used in conjunction with generators. normally when
there is a power failure the AMF relay detects it and
activates the generator within a stipulated time ( say 2
min ). Normally the generator control panel will be housing
the AMF relays.

AMF-Auto mains failure.
This panel normally used in where ever the power neede with
out interept. the concept of the panel is when mains
(transformer supply) fails the the panel controls will
sense and start the genarator and change over will be done
automatically with in setted time.when mains back again the
controls will sence and change over will be done and DG
also will be stopped automatically.

it is related alternetor/dg set. it has full form
of "auotmatic main failure".
during s/d or main failure after predetemined time starting
of alternator .
monitor oil level, oil and water temperature.
it monitors voltage,speed frequency etc.
after restoring of main it off the alternator/dg set.

We are Manufactured the same panels. the panel principal is when the mains fails is there that time the microprocessor is detected mains are fail. After the supervising the mains the amf controller is give the sense to crank. And When the Ingen is run the controller is supervise the alternator supply. That supply is present and healthy, the dg cont actor sence is given to dg cont actor. that mount the dg supply is present in out put terminal. when the mains present that monument mains supply is healthy that time dg supply is break the microprocessor and give the mains supply. After the cooling time the dg is stop sence is given to stop solenoid.than the in gen is stopped.

AMF(Automated Mains Failure) normally is called panel. When main fail our micro controller based controller(PACE ATS) sense this and gives command to DG start through Relay (PACE DG 99).In this time also sense fuel level, oil presser,dg Battery voltage,dg RPM,Mains Voltage,Dg voltage,Battery Bank voltage, Dg run Time,Temp.,load on EB, laod on DG.
when mains back again the controller will sense and gives command for DG stop automatically and also stop our set time in controller.

OK so what is the criteria where we can decide these
operating conditions or characteristics of load be
considered for using AMF panel (contactor based) or ATS
(automatic transfer switch)

AMF stands for automated mains failure
Normally AMF control panel is using for generator, and this generator is using for some buildings, house, etc. AMF helps to when the power failure then its activate to automatically on the current
