SAP Patches cannot be installed when userss are online.
When users are online they may access DB/Tables which may
be related to the patch being applied. Therefore it is
advisble to apply pacthes when there are no users online

It is possible to apply the SAP Patches when all the users
are in Online only when the accessed programs doesn't uses
the eithe DDIC or Repository objects that is going to be
updated by the Support packs, other wise it will throw the
error.

So, its recommended by SAP that Support packs are to be
applied only in Offline.

Answer is a big NO.

SAP patches internally are changing the underneath code in
the application table level. If you understand what a patch
is doing and what it is actually then you will know
wheather to apply it on now.

SAP patches, especially SAP_BASIS/ SAP_ABA patches use the
DDIC and repository so, you need to lock the user IDs on
the system. Or the users might get dumps, and you will
endup restoring the complete system.
