there are 2 to 6 numbers of safety valves (SVs) on the boiler.
Around 2 Nos on Drum, of one high and one low setpoint.
Around 2 Nos on Superheater Steam Line of one high and one low setpoint.(but less then Drum SV setpoint, to avoid starvation of SH main steam line)
around 2 Nos on reheater line (if reheater is provided)
Apart from it 1 No of EMRV on the HP superheater line, setpoints below that of Safety valves of the lines.
Also we have Relief valves on he HP econimiser, which acts as a Over protection valve (against Pressure)
Remember SVs are Differnt from Relief valves, as RVs are used on liquid whereas SVs are used on Steam line.
