Hello ,
Before talking abt the no's of Dialog wp, i want to tell
brief abt it's significance. It is the only work proces
will communicate with user directly through GUI.
It receives the requests for reports,updates, and
printing, to run expensive jobs in background and also
communicate with other systems.

So for make the interaction with user we need one dialog wp
and another one will be reserved to handle background Wp
and to allocate work for other WP's. so we should have
atleast two dialog wp's per instance are mandatory.

Total Dialog wp's should be equal or more than other
non-Dialog work procesess.

As per standard SAP rules, every dialog process needs Min
of 75MB min memory and 300 MB of max memory. so based on
available Memory we need to configure the dialog proceses.

by using below profile parameter we can configure dialog
wp's.
rdisp/wp_no_diag=XX(No based on requirement)

please let me know if it satisfies the doubt.

Hi,

It is by default one can see 2 dialog work process once SAP
Application Server is Installed and each dialog work
process supports a maximum of 7 to 8 login's to SAP
Application server at one time and it mostly depends on RAM
size .

want to increase Dialog Wp one can add Dialog wp through
modifying profiles.Depending on RAM size one can accomodate
dialog wp per instance .If the ram size is 512 mb then each
dialog wp can accomodate at a max of 8 users to login at a
time .
