Enhancement means to add a functionality to the SAP to
address a business requirement which is not being taken care
by the available sap functionality.

User exit is a kind of enhancement only.

In the R/3 system from SAP, a user exit is contrasted with a
customer exit

In computer software, a user exit is a place in a software
program where a customer can arrange for their own
tailor-made program to be called.

Customer exit is another form of enhancement by way of which
sap provides coders to access program components and data
objects within the R/3 system.

User exit is space given by SAP with in the SAP standard program to add new functionality .for example you have appended few new fields in the pricing communication structure KOMK,KOMP,KOMG.so as to copy the condition records to sales document by using user exit mv45afzz pricing_prepare_tkomk .you added new functionality in the standard program.new storage location rule can be defined by using user exit .also menu exit,screen exit field exit are there . to add new menu,screen fields.after doing this you did some enhancement in your Implementation project..you have to deliver functional specification with logic for this ...ABAPERS will write the code in the user exit...
