preventive maitenance is the maintenance taken on the
equipment so that the breakdown does not happen. Corrective
maintenace is the action taken on the equipment after the
occurance of any breakdown to see that it does not repeat
again.

any damage to elect.equipments in normal and abnormal
conditions.
but corrective maintinance is taken for making the faulty
equipments clear(replacement may or may not require) and
connect them to the desired position again.
