In gerator syncronisation there are follwoing three steps.
we will call machine to be syncronised as incoming machine
(1) same voltage
(2) same frequency
(3) same phase angle
Scoboscope is used for syancro. also there are another
method named 2bright 1 dark and vice vrsa.

Answer / lava kumar.v
1. Run first set to voltage and frequency and switch to the main bus bar
2.connect at least 25% Load if regulation is poor.
3.set upto voltage and frequency.
4.synchronize phasing up to bus bar manually or automatically
Above mentioned points are satisfied the Dg will ready for operation
* Adjust engine power as necessary if it takes most of the power it will go out over load ,This will bring down the system.

In power generator sets, when they are coverted from 50hz to 60hz, the kva rating after conversion increases. For example, the manufacturer of a perkins 200kva @ 50Hz generator set has mentioned it to become 220kva after converstion to 60hz. What is the relation between the frequency & the KVA rating. Any formula please.
