Answer / nitin jadhav
1 TR is equivalent to 907.185 US ton.
907.185 US Ton = 12000 BTU/hr
1 Btu/hr = 1055 joule
Now,
1 TR = 12000*1055/3600
= 3.51 KW

We can under stand to things from the question:
1- If you mean by kW electrical that how many electric kW consuming for A/C unit for 1Ton? Answer, It depend on the manufacturer and design of the A/C unit But you can take it 1.2 kW for safely design for power cable, preacher and other electrical devices.
2- If you mean by kW electrical that, how many kW(cooling or heating power) in Ton refrigeration? Answer, It is as told before by our colleges
1 kW of cooling/Heating = 0.284 RT or
1 RT = 3.52 kW of cooling/Heating

why dc is not given to transformer
We have a 33/11kv switchyard having 12.5 MVA power transformer. We export & import power through this transformer. When we export power, the PF will be depend on GRID PF & when we import power the PF will be depend on our load PF. but the problem is that, when neither we export nor import but our 33KV vCB is in close position, our meter read the power factor 0.14 to 0.25 at that moment. So how can be we improve the power factor at that moment.
