What is the safety factor is to be consider while selecting
the switchgear and protection for electrical system
Answer / guest
Generally when we consider a power system we need to
consider all the components trs gens and tr.lines.The
safety factor is defined as the ratio of min.fault current
to excite the relay/ desired value when the desired value
exceeds the relay operates, It is >1
