Hi,

Every Sales Document is processed in a sales area, in other
words we can say that the validilty of a sales document is
restricted to a sales area.

You cannot process a Sales Document without a sales area.

sales area is the geographical aspect of that particular
company code,frm there we can generate the reports

division , is an org.unit(org. data) helps for is
organizational u r creating master data for ex. customer
and it will help the managers in analysis and reports.

Generally for each transaction in sales and distribution is
processed under one particular sales area. And this sales
area is solely responsible for the transanction.

In SD, any sales document created it requires a sales area,
as a result for reporting purpose also it will be helpful.

In addition Sales org. is the highest organizational
element for SD, and is legaly responsible for the sales
transaction.
