power factor is cosine angle of voltage & current in vector diagram,& is ratio of real power to apparent power.. we maintain in our organisation as installation of capacitor bank. its valve in between 0.95 to .99. but valve of p.f. below the 0.9 & above 1.0 organisation get penalty charges as per Msedcl act.. maintaining p.f. means keeping resistance of circuit unity.or balance the resistance of inductive load to resistative load in circuit by capacitance load.

but practcally it is very difficult to archive. but this

yes, it is true that we can't maintain the power factor
nearer to 1, but in CAPACITIVE or in the case of RESISTIVE
load it is possible that we can maintain the power factor
from 0.9 to 0.96. And normally in our homes we can easily
maintain the power factor, because we didn't normally uses
the 3 phase inductive motors, or any othe heavy inductive
load like as in factories.

Well we keep it to as close as .9
.9 bcoz if it gets to 1 then sudden change of pf will make it more than 1 and this is harmful for our system

In cement industry maintain pf near by unity if power taken from SEB by using APFC for LT load and bus capacitor for HV system. Monthly average pf is .991 to .995.SEB generally offer insetive of 1% above .97 pf in some state.
But if CPP is there maintaining .95 to .98.

This is reqd for a 1MW Solar power plant..We have 2DC outputs from the solar panels Connected to 2INVERTOR panels.. Output from invertor is 3ph,280v,500kva,50hz.These are connected to individual ACB.This has to be stepped up to 11KV ,1250KVA SYSTEM.Now can I use (1) one more ACBTO GIVE A COMBINED OUTPUT OF 1000KVA,280V & STEP UP THE OUTPUT BY USING a single two winding 3 ph transformer 11kv/1250kva. or (2)use the two outputs and connect to one three winding transformer of above rating..Pls suggestwith details.
