2 Under-reamed cast in situ pile of 300 mm dia. of 10.00 m
length.

Answer / pravat
Volume=π/4 {Ld^2+0.4N(D^2-d^2)(D-d)}
Where d=dia of pile
D=dia of under ream
L=length of pile
N= no of under ream.
This the formula for pile with any no of under reams.

Rcc Volume of 2no. Bulb (without pile rcc)
Formula = π/4 {0.4N(D^2-d^2)(D-d)}
Where d=dia of pile
D=dia of under ream(bulb)
N= no of under ream.
Calculation-
Dia of bulb(D)= 2.5 times of dia of pile
D=2.5×0.30 =0.75m
Rcc volume= π/4 {0.4×2×{(.75)^2-(.30)^2}(.75-.30)
= 0.133 m^3

Answer / h kumat
Volume of pile = A
= 3.14×(0.30/2)²×10=0.707m³
Volume of two undeream = B
=2× 2.44(0.30)³=0.13 m³
Totol volume of pile & underream=A+B
=0.707+0.13= 0.837m³
Be sure about shape of underream before use this formula.

Pile length- 10 m
Pile dia- .15m
10X.15X.15=0.225
0.225X3.142=0.7069
Ans:07069

Answer / aman kumar
Length of bulb=0.55 m
Dia. of bulb=2.5*0.3=0.75 m
Extra for bulb=0.75-0.3=0.45 m
Bulb volume= Area*Perimeter=1/2*0.55*0.225*3.14*0.3=0.058 cum for 1 bulb.
Pile volume=3.14/4*0.3*0.3*10=0.707 cum
So, For 1 bulb,Total quantity=0.707+0.058=0.765 cum
And For 2 bulb,Total quantity=0.707+2*0.058=0.823 cum

2 Under-reamed cast in situ pile of 300 mm dia. of 10.00 m
length.
Solution :
(Pls. refer construction practice book & IS 2911 Part-III.)
2 under reamed pile means there are 2 Nos. of bulbs at particular spacing based on friction of soil.
Dia. of pile : 0.30 m. ie.,bulb dia. = 2.5 times dia. of pile
So it is 2.5*.3 = .75 m.
Length of Pile = 10.00 m.
Bulb thickness at pile intersection end (30-45degree inclination)= 1.75 times pile dia.
=1.75*.3
=0.525 m. &
free end = dia. of pile/4
=.3/4
=0.075 m.
Now follow the calculation:
Step 1:
Pile volume = Area x length
3.14/4*dxd x length
=3.14/4*.3*.3*10 = 0.707 Cubic Metre. ------1
Extra for Bulb Volume = Perimeter x Depth of bulb
=2*3.14*r x db
r at centre line of bulb = ((.75-.3)/2)+.3 = 0.525 m.
V=2*3.14x .525x(.525+.075)/2
=0.989 Cum. for 1 Bulb
V for 2 Bulb = .989*2
=1.978 Cubic metre -----2
Now combined Total Volume of Concrete 1+2 = .707+1.978 = 2.685 Cubic Metre.
