if we create aggregates on infocube then query performance
will be improved if our query accessing attributes data
frequently.The sequence when we execute the query is:
1.Query first goes into cache if it finds relevant data in
cache will fetch data otherwise
2. it goes into BI ACCELERATOR(BIA)
3. Aggregates
4. Finally it goes into IC if the data is not available in
above 3 stages.
If we maintain aggregates or BIA olap no needs to come
upto IC. So time will be reduced. Query performance will be
improved.

hi frd aggregate means 1 st say all people improve the query performance.
1. query send request to olap cache, olap cache send request to Ic (data base table)
2. Ic retrieve the data into olap & olap send data into query.

imp: query send request & receive data is called front end time

ic receive request & retrieve data is called db time

processing the data is called olap time.

selected records means sending records db to olap
transfer records means sending olap to query.

Dis Advantage:-

decrease the loading performance.

redundancy of data (data loading one ic to another)

good question dear by doing /filling aggregates you can
improve the query performance .by doing agg you will get
summarized data so that no redundancy occur .

whenever the query execution time is taking more than 500 seconds at that time we are going to create aggregates. if our infocube is having aggregates at the time of execution the query is going to pick the data from the aggregates. so the performance will be increased.
