Inquiry is just a simple document showing the interest
shown by your prospective customer on products and
services. Date and Price nothing is relevant here.
BUT quotation is a legal agreement you offer to you
customer. You agree to the customer that you will charge a
particular amount to a particular quantity of a particular
product and this agreement is time limited and not valid
after that time duration.

Quation is legallly binding offer from sales organisation
to a customer for providing goods and services under
certain fixed conditions Quation id valid for limited

Quation is legallly binding document to deliver specific
product in specified timeframe at a predefined prece.
Quotation has a Validity period and within the validity
period, the customer has the option of placing an order
within the agreed conditions with reference to the
quotation, or to cancel a contact.
Inquiry is not a leagal document and customer asks detailes
information about specific goods, in perticular their
prices.

Inquiry is just an informational document for a customer on behalf of a business but the quotation is a legal document where a customer gets to ensure that he can buy goods and services at an agreed price within the stipulated timeline.

Inquiry : IN is the nothing but inspection done by the
customer from sales organisation or company regarding to the
what is the price of the material,or providing the
service,the material is available or not in delivering
plant,or it its is possible to company that they will
provide the service or delivering the material on his
required delivery date.
Quotation : QT is the on kind of promise given by company to
the customer that we can say whatever the information given
by the company to the customer is true without any
obligation on specific price on specific period of the time.
