THIS IS THE EXACT PROCEDURE ALL OF U
GIVEN THICKNESS OF PLASTER = 12MM = 12/1000 M = 0.012M
RATIO (1:6)
SINCE YOU HAVE NOT GIVEN ASSUME THAT 100 SQ.M OF PLASTER IS
DONE.
THUS VOLUME OF PLASTER = 100 X 0.012 =1.2 CUM
ADD 60 % FOR UNEVENESS OF PLASTER SURFACE AND VOIDS
TOTAL VOLUME OF PLASTER WORK = 1.2 + 60/100 X 1.2 =1.92 CUM
VOLUME OF CEMENT = 1.92 / (1+6)=0.274 CUM
NO. OF CEMENT BAGS =0.274/0.0347 =7.89 BAGS (NOTE VOLUME OF
50 KG CEMENT BAG IS - 0.0347 CUM)
VOLUME OF SAND = 0.274 X 6= 1.644 CUM

Considering 100 sqm plaster.
Wet Volume of plaster =100X0.012 =1.2 cum.
Add @ 20 % for filling the depressions, joints, wastage, etc.=0.24 cum.
Total=1.44 cum.
For dry volume of mortar increased by ⅓ of volume =0.48 cum.
Total dry volume of mortar =1.92 cum
Volume of cement:-1.92/7 = 0.2742/0.0347 =7.9 bag
Volume of sand:-0.2742*6 = 1.6452 cum

as per CPWD Norms, cement required is 7.20 bags for 12 mm,
with 1:6 cement mortar plaster. Actual calculation gives
7.00 bags, in our calculation we have to assume 20% cement
for filling voids in the sand and 20% cement for uneven
surface of the brick/block work.
for 100 sqm, CM required willbe 100 x 0.012 = 1.20 cum
cement required will be 1.20 cum x 1/7 = 0.1714 cum
add 20% for filling voids ins and - 1.20 x 0.1714 = 0.206
cum
add 20% for unevenness in the block work/brickwork=0.206 x
1.2 = 0.2472 cum
each bag of cement weighs 0.0345 cum,
Hence, cement required for 100 sqm of plasstering will be =
0.2472/0.345 = 7.16 bags. That's it.

1:6 ratio, 12mm thickness plastering,
=1/6*1440 *0.012
=2.880 /50kg
=0.058 for 1msq plaster cement,
=100 Sq * 0.058
=5.76 bags for 100 Sqm area
Wastage = 25 %
So 7.2bags

ratio=1:6,12mm thick-0.012m
=10*10*0.012
=1.2m^3*1.5{dry factor}
=1.8m^3
=1.8/7{1+6=7 ratio}
=0.257
volume of one bag of cement 0.0347m^3
=0.257/0.0347
=7.40 bags of cement
sand=0.257*6=1.542m^3

Take 100 Sqm 12 mm thick plaster in Cement mortar 1:6 on Brick work
Volume of mortar = 100x0.012 = 1.20 Cum
Add 25% for dubbing and wastage= 0.30 Cum
Total (dry mortar) = 1.50 Cum
Add 30% dry to wet mortar = 0.45 Cum
Total (wet mortar) = 1.95 Cum
Cement = 1.95/7 = 0.279 Cum
= 0.279x28.8 =8.03 Bags
Sand = 0.279x6 = 1.67 Cum

finished volume=12mm = 0.012m =1.2m3
prop 1:6=1+6=7
cement req= 1.2/7
=0.17143
1cement bag=34.5 litres
=0.0345m3
cement bag req= 0.17143/0.0345

Answer / dinesh
Cement= 1 Sand = 6, assume W/C=0.4
Water = 0.4*1= 0.4
Total = 1+6+0.4=7.4
Wt per m3 of CM = 2400 kg
for 10 m2 = 1.2 cum CM reqd.
Cement required for 1 m3 = 2400/7.4 = 324.3 kg = 6.48 bags
so for 10m2 area of 12mm thick plaster = 1.2*6.48 = 7.78
Bags required.
