the rating of sockets define the current capacity of tge
sockets.
for single phase it is normally: 5 amp and 15 amp
for three phase above 15 amp

there are generally 2 types of sockets that we applied in domestic as well as in industrial circuits.
upto 230-240volts(1phase) we used 5amp sockets
and
for above ie. 440volts(3phase) we use 15 amp sockets.
