Start -- Settings -- Control Panel -- Network and Dialup
Connections-- Local Area Connections

option is selected, the windows
file cache is reduced in size so that application server
software, such as SAP system, has
more resources available. This also decrease the time needed
for the installation, especially for
the database import

For the installation, you need a user with administration
rights.

You need to prepare one host in SAP ERP Central Component
for the role of transport host.
Map the IP address of the transport host to the
SAPTRANSHOST, you can map the IP address to
the SAPTRANSHOST alias in the Hosts file

Goto <Drive>:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc
Open the Hosts file with an editor and add the line:

<IP_ADDRESS> <fully qualified hostname> <hostname> SAPTRANSHOST
e.g.,
10.22.8.00 twdf0000.wdf.sap.corp twdf0000 SAPTRANSHOST

Install Java Development Kit on every host on which you want
to run SAPinst
Clean up the JDK\ext directory
Set JAVA_HOME environment
Add %JAVA_HOME%\bin to your system path
Install SAPinst
Start SAPinst from the SAP Master DVD, Double-click
sapinst.exe from in the directory

Install the Oracle Database software according to the SAP
specifications
Apply an Oracle Patch using the Universal Installaer
Apply a Oracle interim patch using the OPatch tool
Install a central instance
Install a ABAP Dialong Instance
Install a SAP Web AS Java Central Instance
Install a SAP Web AS Java Dialog Instance
Install a stand-alone SAP Gateway instance

1.dowmload sap netweaver app server setup files
2.extract these files
3.then download java files JRE
4.before installation chk the virtual memory size if needs increase
5.nw ur in windows server screen--run tha java setup file and accept the license and goto next next final finish
6.run the sap setup files like sapinst.exe file
7.select central system and goto next
8.it will show logoff screen select ok it will restart again
9.installation process will start automatically and accept the license and goto next
10.it will prompt for master password provide the details and goto next,next,next,next
11.finally installation will complete

Users are complaining that the SAP system shows a hour glass for a long time at the time of logon and they aren't able to log on to the system and users logged on are complaining of long delays going from t-code to t-code. In the Sap Easy Access Menu I see the menu System -> User Profiles ->Own Data. Other options Hold Data is to keep data values that you have entered in a field of an application for the duration of the session; SET DATA not to overwrite the data and DELETE DATA to delete the set data. Can somebody explain me the Hold Data, Set Data and Delete Data with examples, i mean giving an example of fields?
