No, you would not be able to maintain the same material in
two divisions. cross division is a concept that is used to
have two different materials of different divisons to be
processed in the same sales order..
you would not be able to drag ur material masters across
divisions.. you could only drag it across sales org and
distribution channels..

Division in the material master is part of basic data for
which you can not mantain multiple values. One material
uniquely belong to only one division. So question does not
arise of selling same material from two different
divisions. Suppose you have two divisions in your
organisation say "motorcycle" & "food supplement". A
material which belong to motorcycle division can not belong
to food div in any case.

a product can sold from different division but u have
configure in img for common distribution channels and
common division. to do this u have create all material
master data in one sales area and then go for common
divisiona.

Its possible to sell the same material from two different
divisions.
- Check Division should not be enabled in Sales Document

This can not happen because one product can have only one
cost center only while generating invoice cast center is
there so we can't do that

i think what siva said is right, when we create a material
if we create it with a specific division , then it can not
be used in all the divisions, if the field is left blank in
mmr business data1, then u can use it......if any further
points please...

in material master (general control 1 tab) check
division(field),then why this field. i think we can combine
distribution channel and division not the sales organization.
in img u have common distribution channel,common
distribution and no common sales organization.so same
material can be sold in two different division.

yes, u can . but it is possible if u maintain common divisions.

You want to list all condition records for a certain material or a certain sales organization. How would you do that?

in material sub stution when we sell the sub stute material with main item price it will display the list of materials with main price or only one substute material is substuted automatically in first senario i practed it will display the list of materials but price taking it's oown price.in 2 case substute item is picking main item price but it is possible for only one substute item only.may question is it possible to display list of material case 2?thanking you in advance
