servo motor operates on the principle of nonlinear negative
feedback. It only works in closed loop. That means feedback
is necessary for its operation.Feedback is taken by
encoders, generally resolvers. It gives position feedback and
speed feedback which separates it from simple motors. It has
high torque. If there willnot be any position feedback then
it cannotbe a sevo motor.

Servo motor works on the principle of Electromagnetic Induction.
There are 3 pins or terminal are present.
1. Supply voltage
2. ground
3. Error signal
It is a close loop mechanism.
It always compares the error signal and the reference signal .
And the shaft will rotate only when the voltage is applied to it and it gets stop after removal of supply voltage.

servomechanism is a feedback closed loop control device in
which negative feedback is applied to the input through the
feedback element in this system output position is
unchanged(constant).

it works in the principle of faradays law of elecromacnetic induction .its out put shaft can be turned by giving pulse width to the servomotor and its position can be compared by using encoder, then compare input and feedback an error signal is send to the servo motor to control the possision.by changing pulse width we can change the possision.

I think this will acts like a transformer when the voltage
is high it will acts as stepdown Tr & if voltage is low it
will acts as stepup Tr.
