Star shcema is one of the Cube Structure.

Fact table surounded by several Dimention tables.
in star schema some imp points.
1. in star schema master data tables and dimention tables
are one and same.

2. Dim tables are linked with fact table. fact table having
a key figures.

3. in we can see the data only in 16 angles only.

4.there is no reusability of dim tables.

and also some are futures and defects also there. these are
little.

when do we go for generic extraction and why we use time stamp ?how long it will run?explain?
