Yes, based on the past consumption, MRP plans the future
consumption taking into account the stock in hand and stock
required. Consumption based planning or make-to-stock is
just the opposite of make-to-order.

I'm a consignment fillup we create order for 100 quantity. Then in consignment issue if say 60 quantity is consumed so will we create a consignment issue of only 60 quantity or all 100 quantity. And if it's 60 then how will the system know that 60 is the quantity which is consumed?

Hi,In IBM Interview,the Scenario For an XYZ customer,The required delivery time is given by the customer say 17/july, but for transportation for material will take some 4days to reach the customer. means in SAP the PGI should happen before 4 days so that meet reqiured Delivery dated, How and where is the triggering point in SAP SD.from where the system will know delivery should happen before 4days.
