as we know that the area of cross section is inversely proportional to the area or R=rho(l/a)....so to decrease the resistance there is a large hole of earth in plug point as it is connected to zero potential (earth) for safety purpose

usually all the metal body equipments have the earth for
example washing machine, refrigerator ,oven.we cannot see
the earth pin in the t.v,this is for the protection that is
the metals are good conduactors and when human intend to
touch then it causes shock,if there is any leakage in the
circuit.so to prevent this we are using the earth.

as we know R is pro to row*L/a...if "a" is larger then r is
small..so the resist is small and it easily pass the s.c
current through it......thts why the earth hole size is
biggest in plug pt.
| Is This Answer Correct ? | 1 Yes | 2 No |
R = row L/A.......(1)
r is increase so the a is decrease so the depend to this
equation 1

Earth is a big conductor if we are talking about the
conductivity so the theory is the bigger the size the
smaller the resistance so the earth itself serve as a
conducting path of the resistance to secure the lives and
safety of the properties if in case there is incidental and
transient fault of the power systems.

We have three 33kv substations. All of them energised by same source. When i am checking the phase sequence between one substation to other substation (like R Phase to R Phase) by multimeter i am getting some voltage.Near to LT panels UPS panels are there. Can u explain whether any possible to happen like that. In Phase SEquencemeter is showing correctly in both substations. How is it happen. Explain me.Explain me communication signal will produce Phase difference on this case.
