Hi as per my knowledge company code is created at country level mainly used for statutory reporting purposes and know the profit and all others purposes. as per your examples reliance jio is will be created at company code level coming to states will treated on other concepts like business areas or profit centers

company is created at country level. we can have n no of campany codes. the company codes define based on the nature of business ex: steel business, sugar business etcc..,
