5/2 means, 5ports/2ways.
Out of 5 ports, 1 is pressure Inlet port and 2 others are cylinder ports providing pressure to the double acting cylinder and one/two outlets are exhaust pressure from the cylinder.

5/3 means 5 way 3 positions....related to pneumatic supply passing through way with position of plunger in valve

No of port:5 and No of Position (Plunger):2.Five ports means, 01 i/p (air supply in), 02 o/p (one o/p port will send air while other remain close and the function will change when coil will energize) and 02 exhaust port (will exhaust the air when coil will de-energize).Two position means plunger is either up (openes the line) or Down (closes the line)
