Incase my sap system was down (users are unable to login to sap system) how to analyze this problem?

Check if all the services of SAP, Database, SAPOSCOL are up and running.
check the wp status using dpmon.
Try restarting the workprocess., if that does not work., than try to kill some of the jobs. Else., restart the application Server

b) SAP services
c) SAP management console ( Dispatcher, IGS and Message Server)
d) You need to find out trace root on the basis of point at serial no ( c ).
e) Check network connectivity if everything is ok

Take Following Action
1) First confirm you are also not able to login to SAP.
2) Check Work Processes at OS level for Long running
processes & available processes.
3) Check for free File system/ Table space.
4) Take action accordingly.
5) Check logs in Work directory.
6) If nothing is helping try to restart the application.
