All the cost accounting assignment-related data such as cost
center, internal orders or investment projects, etc., need
to be maintained as ‘Time-dependent Data’ in asset masters.
Additionally, the information related to asset shut-down and
shift operation also needs to be maintained as time
dependent. SAP maintains all the time-dependent data for the
entire life span of the assets

The validity date ( from) is given in the asset master data
for the cost objects like, business area, cost center,
internal order and for plant, location etc. The validity
date of these will be changed when the asset is transferred
from one cost center to another, location, company code
etc. This will help to capture the depreciation, profit
and loss on sale, damage etc. to the correct cost object

center (or Cost object)

Why in master data, we tick Post Automatic or open item management?

Hi One important Question, I am trying to run depreciation for this month at AFAB it says job RBACH00 is complete and but at SM35 i cant the created batch for the same. In sm37 when i give the same batch name and execute it says " status as finished but depreciation is not processed. Can any one plz throw some light on this?
