go to item category of the sales order and see the completion rule.

it must be "A" which is "item completed with first reference"

hence , as soon as u do delivery for 5 ea. the sales order status appears as completed.

this will solve the issue.

If you are creating delivery and PGI the status is completed.
If u dont want to process this u can control in copying
control in vtla.

there is a filed in customer master that can close SO after
certain number of feliveries. If you set it up as 1 first
delivery will close it even if not for full quantity.
