253 - is number of master idocs created..it means system found changes in 253 material masters. Master Idocs are Idocs without receiver and sender details in it....they are only created in memory and not in database..based on configuration of distribution model / Partner Profile the receiver details are put into idocs and as many communication idocs are creates based on number of recipients. Communication idocs are stored into the database
