WE CAN CREATE A MAXIMUM OF 366 POSTING PERIODS IN SPECIAL
PURPOSE LEDGER ( I HAVE READ IN SAP DOCUMENTATION ). BUT I
DONT KNOW HOW TO CREATE THAT.

I am sure that we can't create posting periods more than
16. 12 is normal posting periods & 4 periods is special
posting periods.

You can create calendar (say Z1) in OB29 with 366 period splits and their texts. This Calendar (say Z1)can ben be assigned to the company code.

As of my knowledge we cannot create more than 16 (12+4)
periods in SAP FI.

Im still not sure about it, if some one knows for sure let
me know

not sure that how to create it. the maximum limit is

varient is create purpose is assign what ever periods we
created in ob52 that is assin to company code fod we post
doc is posted period wise

Yes, we can create 366 postings, because we can consider the month, fortnightly, weekly and day as posting period. Based on this reason we can create.

Yes, we can create the fiscal year variant for more than 16
period, if period is consist on 15 days, weeks and days.how
to create? use the transaction code ob29.copy any existing
fiscal year variant, change the name, it will be copied as
it is as existing variant. there are several type variant
which calander year, non calander year, year dependent or
non dependant.
Calander year: calander year are those which are started
from the starting year january to ending year decemeber.
Non Calander year: Non calander year are those which are
started from any month of the year and end with the 12
periods it mean started from April and end on March.
