We know that at maximum efficiency in %= √Pi/Pc * 100 = √900/1600 * 100= 3/4 * 100= 75%

the exact answer is 72%.because the condition for maximum efficiency is variable loss=constant loss.here constant loss=900,variable loss=1600 at full load.so when variable loss=900 the transformer may reach its maximum efficiency.so efficiency=((900+900)/2500)x100=72%
