we can calculate no load loss of TR, but you need to know impedance of TR

Short the LV side ,increase voltage on HV ,till you get the rared current. The percentage of this voltage against rated voltage is % impedance . if you connect a watt meter you get copper losses . With open circuit apply rated voltage ,to measure the iron losses with a watt meter .

What is R/X ratio? I have heard that this ratio is higher in a radial distribution system.Why is it so? I would appreciate a word. Thank you
