it is not necessary to charge the battery always, instead it
should be charged fully once and after discharging you can
charge it again, as nobody knew till what level it is
discharged. so its better to keep the UPS on charge
continously. Anyhow battery last for maximum a year only.

In case of power plants all emergency loads are connected through UPS. So it is very necessary to keep the Battery in fully charged condition.
However, the battery should be discharged and charged to get maximum life.
It was recommended by Battery manufactures to do the charging and discharge the battery atleast trice in year.

Invertor we can charge it after the full discharge
