Answer / eapen
Along with the above mentions
1.It can be seperated in any RP columns.
2.It is a highly polar compound. It elutes readily in a
reverse phase column. So less time is required.
3. It is highly stable in solutions for a longer time.
4. It is recommended to use Theobromine also in Detector
wavelength accuracy check.

maximas
and 1 minima.
1st maxima is 205nm
2nd maxima is 273nm
minima is 245nm
and it is primary reference standard and also suggested in
pharmacopiea.

Answer / p.dharmakkannu
Caffeine basically having two maxima, lower wave length at
about 204nm and higher wave length at about 272nm. 1 minima
at about 242nm in methanol or mixture of methanol and water
combination(50%). It is nothing costly and easily soluble.
Maximum of the UV range products will be analyzed in this nm
range only.
it is also a primary reference standard officially in
pharmacopoeia for melting point.
If it is primary standard we will have certificate for the
caffeine. The same certificate will be used for both the
purpose.

caffeiene having different wavelenths it having 2 maximas
and 1 minima.
1st maxima is 205nm
2nd maxima is 273nm
minima is 245nm
and it is primary reference standard and also suggested in
pharmacopiea.it contains non recemic CHON.It is very stable,
we can use a long time for analysis
it is not degradable.

Caffeine gives multiple wavelength responce
i.e. 205nm,245nm & 273nm
and it is stable and not degradable for a long time.

Answer / manikyam
It will give maxima at 273nm and 205nm and also give minima at 245nm. caffeine fastely ellute in any mobilephase like water or methanol.

Answer / ravinder reddy
Caffeine is very stable compound and it is not degraded
it will give minimum and maximum wavelengths
it is easily soluble in methanol and acetonitrile (1 : 1)
it will get any c18 columns
