Bcs torque is directly prop to I drawn by the rotor or armature...

if the load increases also the current increases in the
rotor, if the current increases also the heat increase, heat
is a loss, heat increases the motor get damage, so the rotor
current reading is taken to the account.

when supply is given to stator then flux is induced in the
stator & it varies if current is increase
