If the line voltage is reduced to 75% of its rated value
then by what percentage current will reduce ??
75%
25%
50%
no change
and why ?
Answer / Bipin Kumar Singh
When the line voltage is reduced to 75% of its rated value, the current will decrease by approximately 43.3%. This is because the power (P=IV) remains constant, and when the voltage decreases, the current increases to maintain the power level.nThis relationship can be mathematically represented as I1/I2 = V2/V1, where I1 and I2 are the currents with different voltages V1 and V2. Substituting 75% of rated voltage for V2, we get I1/I2 ≈ 0.75² = 0.5625, or approximately a decrease of 43.3%.

v=I*R, i.e V is directly proportional to I. now P=V*I. so V=P/I. thus v is inversely proportional to I. so what is the correct one? If both are correct than for which kind of condition this 2 differ
