why earthing is not required on transformer prymary winding
side ???
Answers were Sorted based on User's Feedback
the neutral is generated at the secondary side of the t/f,
so the earthing is done at sec. called the dedicated
earthing. but at the pr. side of the t/f no neutral is
generated hence require no earthing. but the body of t/f
is also earthed.

If the primary side of the trasformer is delta, then only
body earth required.delta no eathing is required because
upstream is delta circuit which increase the reliability of
power transmission if earth fault occur. in delta circuit,
no earth fault will be detected.

In any type of circuit, the neutral is earthed at source side
In transformer case, the secondary voltage acts as the
source voltage to the load and hence the secondary neutral
conductor is must be earthed.
The secondary currents are transformed in to primary
currents by induction principle. and hence primary side
neutral is not required to be earthed. In other words, the
primary winding acts as load circuit for the partial network.

In case of DELTA/Star Power transformer, the secondry is
solidly earthed because the zero sequance current ciculate
in delta and in star side if ther is no neutral earthed the
protective relay will give false tripping so it is neutral
of secondry is earthed

A power t/f is delta/ star type. Delta side can not be
earthed even there is no need to make in earth as f the
secondary is earthed there will be no or very less fault
current. So the primary will also be safe as no change in
secondary current means no change in primary..

Transformer Primary side is Delta Connected, so there we
dont provide Earth fault Protection thats why it is not
solidly earthed, only earthing is provide at transformer
body. But on the secondry side which is usually star
connected, we have to provide solidly earthing to neutral
so that we can use earth fault protection system.

HI EVERYBODY, I HAVE A SMALL DOUBT ON THE POWER TRANSFORMER
EARTHING. ACTUALLY THE TRANSFORMER IS DELTA/STAR TYPE, THE
SECONDARY SOLIDLY EARTHED, I HEARD THAT THE PRIMARY SIDE OF
THE TRANSFORMER RESISTIVELY EARTHED. CAN SOMEONE MAKE ME
CLEAR, WHAT RESISTIVELY EARTHING AND HOW IT HAS TO BE
DONE.....???

The primary side you don't earth otherwise if you measure on the secondary side there will be no voltage be induce on the secondary side because it will go straight to earth if you provide an earth. there a induction happening between primary and secondary side.

We use earthing for Body Protection.
So there is no meance of Prymary or Secondary.
Between phase we use neutral but for Secondary side
Prymary side Delta connection so we don't use neutral.

When batteries are connected in series the voltage increases but the current remains unchanged, how can this be? When you consider ohm's law. i.e. If voltage increases, current increases, providing resistance remains the same.
