Fiber optic uses signals to be transmitted in form of light.
There are certain instruments which allows us to check the
signal level of fiber optic cable. The instrument name is
OTDR.
Through which we can check the fiber optic cable.

by instrument name OTDR: Optical Time Domain Reflexometer.
It injects laser beam into optical fiber through patch cord
and provides a graph between attenuation (dB) and Distance
(m).{performance decresess for shorter distance)
The graph's nature shows the cable performances. The graphs
has rising peaks followed by decaying lines.Spikes in the
decaying lines indicates severe loss. So,if we have smooth
decaying graph then it reflects good optical fiber
path.Whereas Spikes in curve indicates energy loss which
can be corrected by maintenence of Media Converter(OFC)
converter. Also the splice joings of fiber should not exceed
a maximum 0f 0.1 dB (calculated by Arc splicer Instruments).

optical fiber cable is transmit the signal in form of
light,it will be measure such a instrument is OTDR .
RTU - stand for remote terminal unit . it collects all data
from the field , in field numbers of rtu is availble and
send a signal to one MTU. MTU is stand for Master Terminal
Unit which give signal to scada computer is Supervisory
Control Data Aqusition system.
