how to convert transmitter milliamps output to like
temp,pressure etc.....

Answer / nitin patil
i am giving here the formula for the same,
temp/ pressure = (ma - 4)* span / 16
where, ma = what you measured by multimeter
span = max range of the transmitter.

Eg. you want to convert in DCS mean it for pressure
transmitter
field pressure Range : 0-100 Bar
Transmitter Calibration Range : 0-100 Bar so output 4-20
mA Depent on the Transmitter input pressure.
This output cable goto Analog input module, in DCS have
to set 0-100 Bar it work depent on 4-20 mA input.

Answer / mastersensor80
the sensor in the transmitter sense the physical effect
(pressure/level/flow) in the transducer this effect is
converted to electrical effect where we can measure 4 -20
ma for example that on the transeducer and the sensor
part, but to answer the above question it is mainly as
answered by Nitin Patil it is merly calculation as the
forumla provided by Nitin.

Answer / neeraj pundir
with the help of transducer we convert (temp, pressure) in
outputs milliamps signals.
| Is This Answer Correct ? | 5 Yes | 3 No |
Milliamps output can be converted to temperature or
pressure, by means of converting the amps to volt by placing
a 250ohm resister across the circuit.

a pressure transmitter with a range of 0 to 2500kpag has a specified accuracy of 0.5 % of span.It is to be calibrated using a comparison gauge to have an accuracy of 0.1% of span. The comparison gauge has a range of 0 to 3000kpag What is the accuracy ratio? is this ratio acceptable?
generally for transmitter we are giving supply 24vlts?but we are getting output 4-20ma ? how it is possible? is there any operation inside the tx?pls give complete information?
