activity type - helps the system to understand the nature
of the activity carried out in that particular cost centre
(cutting,polishing etc) Unlike in FI where components are
already active, we need to activate this component in
controlling
Statistical Key figure - is also known as value field. Data
in the r/3 system is stored in data structure and this data
structure = characteristics + value fields. Any report is
generated from this data structure. THis component also
needs to be activated in controlling
