A UPS, as the name implies backs up with no interuption of
supply while an Inverter could cause an interruotion in the
power being supplied to the sensitive load.
A UPS is meant to back up for just some time(around 15 min)
such that sensitive loads are well shut down before an
alternative source of supply is brought up.However, an
inverter is meant to back up and is even meant to be an
alternative source of supply , not just for a back up as
the case of the UPS is. An inverter is also one of the
circuit in a UPS.

UPS is a device connected with battery bank and converting
AC to DC to AC which always provides un-interrupted power
eventhough the main source of power is available and
consumes energy.
Inverter is a device connected with battery bank and
converting DC to AC which will provides un-interrupted
power when main source of power not available through the
battery bank. Normally, this won't consumes energy when
main source of power is available.

Inverter bole to, jab electric supply band hoti hai to wo battery mein se dc current ko ac mein convert kar k forward karta hai, But fluctuations measure nai hote aur ha aap k equipments restart hote hai... Aur UPS bole to kam waise hi hota hai but if fluctuations hote hai to bhi ups constant supply provide karta ( If input voltage 210 hota hai to rest 20 voltage wo battery's mein se provide karta hai & if Higher voltage receive hota hai to bhi wo required constant supply bhejta hai.) aur agar current supply band ho jaaye to bhi aapke equipments restart nahi hote.. but yahan pe ups & battery ki load, capacity role play karti hai....

Inverter : is device which is convert dc supply to ac
supply it have two unit 1. charging 2.inverter circuit
(which covert dc supply into ac supply with the help mosfet
or transstor).
Ups : means uninterrupted power supply.it have also two unit
but it convert dc into ac supply very fast lees than 10 ms.
it have one avr unit also which regulate the voltage
automatically

What is bushing?
There are two nos of 33Kv/11Kv 5MVA transformers conecting through HT cable from substation having metering at substation itself. One transformer used at a time another remains stand by.Further 11 nos of 11Kv/440V transformers are attached on it and each transformer is having its own Power factor correction panel. Now one 33/11Kv transformer at no load condition/Stand by condition is having power factor in leading side upto 0.21 and while when another tranformer at same situation have power factor in lagging 0.42. Now one thing is clear that transformer one is having 1.5 Km long 33kv cable due to that PF goes in leading side and another is having only 250 mtr length remains him lagging. Now i want to know that how i can maintain the Power factor at no load/ stand by position though both are behaving in seperate manner.
