Why the motor was take the starting current is high?..

Because at starting there in no back emf hence there is no
apposition to inrush current. Hence a heavy current flows
through at starting

Regarding units, for voltage we are denoting Volts as V but in case of current we are not denoting Ampere as A instead as I..Why..? Any technical reason for this..?
