DEAR
MAIN FUNCTION OF REACTIVE POWER TO MAKE FLOW OF CURRENT
EASY WITHOUT HIGH LOSSES IF WE LOOSE AREACTIVE POWER THAT
MEAN THE DIRECTION OF POWER FLOW BECOME REVERSABLE .BAY
OTHORS WORDS THE SPEED OF SYNCHROUE MACHINE BECOME HIGH
THAN ROTOR SPEED THEREFORE WE GET INDUCITIVE MOTOR

esp. in transformers and motor some amount of energy is
reqiured to create magnetic feild or to magnetise the
core.the power is uses for generating this is reactive
power.in general magnetic fields take reactive power
electrical feilds generate Q.in alternator with the
increase in reactive power the voltage can be increased. As
Q increases power factor decreses which decreases the
active power and correspondingly the losses due to P

i want to share what does active and reactive power.
They both r like road and bus (bus as active power and road
as reactive power) if ther is no reactive power there is no
power transfer

reactive power means imagine power.it is not do any work.it adjust the balance of voltage.or supports the voltage. For motor loads, sufficient var levels are needed to avoid voltage sags that inhibit the conversion and flow of watts to meet load demand. Therefore, actual power systems require both real and reactive power to function properly.

ya this a great question ...
the power transfer depends on the formula
P = {(E1*E2)/X} SIN(DELTA)
SO WHEN EVER THERE IS NO REACTIVE COMPONENT POWER IS 0

just read last third like as pure active power. little
mistake so

reactive power just flows in ckt........from source to load
&load to source...if it increases then reduces the power
carrying capacity of line.........
